# Primary Purpose
Responsible for the transition of the Aberdeen Facility from a manufacturing operation to an assembly operation.
#
Responsibilities Include
Develops and implements process improvement initiatives while working with design and manufacturing engineering staff and supervisory personnel. Serves as a liaison between manufacturing and other departments in the identification of improvement areas and facilitates completion of approved initiatives.
Implements processes to improve labor efficiency of the Aberdeen facility. Studies work methods, tests modifications, designs new methods, and recommends job restructuring.
Improves workflow. Studies process flowcharts, recommends modifications in workflow, workstations and product design develops new procedures, and recommends equipment modifications and purchases.
Designs and coordinates line layouts, workstations, production aids and setup processes for current and new products.
Establishes procedures to identify and analyze causes for waste. Implement changes in equipment and in operator techniques to reduce waste.
Implements work improvement programs approved by management and engineering staff.
Establishes time standards for each product line produced in Aberdeen.
Communicates and coordinates activities between required operational departments, including, but not limited to, manufacturing, materials, and engineering.
Initiates, maintains and improves manufacturing support processes, costs, scrap reduction, value engineering and controls in the manufacture of TCF products.
May be utilized in other South Dakota manufacturing facilities as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications
Two-year vocational/technical education in industrial or mechanical engineering, mechanical drafting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years' experience in manufacturing engineering, mechanical drafting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to understand the design and manufacture of Twin City Fan and Aerovent products and application requirements.
Ability to use and apply computer-based project management tools, including MS-Project and MS-Office (Word and Excel) products desirable.
Ability to perform assignments with instruction regarding tasks required and expected results, generally under minimal supervision from managers or higher-level personnel.
Effective verbal communication skills in dealing with peers and supervisors from various departments within the company.

Preferred Qualifications
Four year Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Two years of AUTOCAD experience.
Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T;).
Basic understanding of Measurement Techniques (i.e. calipers, micrometer, etc.).
Training in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
