This position is located in the Office of Professional Recruitment, Office of Health Programs, Aberdeen Area Office, Aberdeen, South Dakota. The purpose of this position is to actively recruit health professionals for the service unit health programs located throughout the Aberdeen Area. Is the Senior Management Official of the Professional Recruitment Office. Manages the health recruitment program by planning, developing, coordinating and maintaining a work force resources program. Emphasis is on attracting, soliciting, and retaining highly qualified individuals to fill critical positions within the Aberdeen Area in accordance with established hiring rules, regulations, and policies.
The selected applicant will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation, which will include a fingerprint check. If applicable-Selective Service registration (Males born after 12/31/59) U.S. Citizenship is required Position subject to Level V or Level VI Background security clearance. A valid driver's license is required to (Operate Government vehicles)
Major Duties:
Develops and maintains an effective working knowledge of local professional employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation and benefits to answer candidate questions as needed. Establishes high reach work objectives, personally tracks and reports on performance.
Assists with the documentation needed for the completion of the credentialing process, as needed. This may include but is not limited to references, background check, license verification and other screening as needed. Assist with the direct hire process, physician relocation, salary targets and recruitment bonuses, as needed. Serves as Contract Officer
Representative on recruitment contracts. Supervises assigned staff. Maintains a weekly status list of all candidates on active searches. Creates the marketing, Area professional staffing needs and development planned service unit representative teams to fully develop a high impact Facebook page for recruitment.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
_GS-13:_ One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level.

Experience:_ Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

Experience: Experience in overall responsibility of a recruitment department or section for Health Professional positions. Experience in serving as the technical advisor on all recruitment activity and providing technical assistance and consultation to managers on recruitment activities. Experience in gathering and analyzing data to determine need for priority placement of Health Professionals; including calculating vacancy rates, site scores for loan repayment programs, and other recruitment and retention processes mandated. Experience in developing a recruitment and retention strategy for each individual facility within the recruitment and retention servicing area. Experience in working with and consulting on the use of direct hire processing guidelines. Experience in working with Indian Preference law and how the law pertains to different situations in the recruitment arena. Experience in working with and executing the recruitment, retention, relocation incentives and Market pay in which to attract or recruit health professionals. Experience in supervising and/or leading subordinates or a recruitment team. Experience in the credentialing and the suitability of potential Health Professional employees.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
