This position is accountable to align Human Resource initiatives with corporate goals through the development of cooperative relationships with local and corporate partners. The Human Resources Manager offers Count on Me! service while providing guidance and support to the Human Resources Team and Business Unit Leaders in the Aberdeen Hotel Operations Center. This position is supported by the Director of Human Resources for the Hotel Operations Centers as well as WHG Corporate associates.
Manages all responsibilities within the scope of Human Resources including, but not limited to: development and communication of policies, employment processes, benefits administration and employee relations.
Hires, trains, supervises and prepares developmental goals for administrative and recruiting staff in Human Resources. Implements changes for all processes involved in human resources, including but not limited to the following areas:
Recruiting: Consults with and recommends new and modified procedures to assist Recruiters in tracking pertinent information and reports relating to: applicant tracking, analysis of effectiveness of promotions, terminations, job postings, exits interviews, etc. Interface with Recruiters and administrative support staff to ensure that efficient services are provided.
Directs Human Resources team ensuring that the needs of telephone callers, applicants, visitors and employees are attended to in a professional manner.
Recommends and develops reports, forms, calendars and follow-up systems for use in human resources.
Administers company benefit plans through effective training programs and regular communication. Gathering and processing of all necessary paperwork and forms on a timely basis. Benefit programs include, but are not limited to: Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical, Vision Insurance, Disability Insurance (short and long term), Life Insurance (basic and voluntary), 401(k) Retirement Program, Workers' Compensation Insurance, COBRA, EAP, Tuition Reimbursement, and Vacation/Sick/Personal Time. The administration of the benefits program includes: conducting effective group and one-on-one training sessions on all benefits; enrollment, data maintenance and document management.
Act as liaison between benefit providers, corporate partners and associates to resolve issues relating to their benefits.
Manage the company's Leave of Absence and Workers' Compensation processes.
Oversee the tracking and reporting for associate eligibility and usage of vacation, sick and personal days.
Through counseling, provide effective guidance and clarification to all levels of associates regarding company policies and procedures; problem identification and resolution; and general human resource department functions.
Administers compensation policies and procedures for Aberdeen location:
Review, process and approve merits, promotions and salary changes in a timely and accurate manner.
Provide management with monthly reports and turn around documents to assist in timely processing of salary adjustments and appraisals.
Monitors Performance Management Processes.
Ensures that the HRIS for the Aberdeen Hotel Operations Center has current, correct information at all times including, but not limited to:
Input and maintenance
System audit
Timely forms generation
Recommends and coordinates changes needed in HRIS with Corporate partners.
## Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
3-5 years human resource generalist experience .
3- 5 years supervisor and/or management experience
Bachelors degree in HR related field and /or combination of education and experience.
Advanced level of knowledge of principles and practices that support an effective Human Resource function within an operational environment
Expertise and knowledge in all aspects of Human Resource Management, employment and benefit legislation (ie: COBRA, ADA, FMLA, etc.) recruitment and retention, benefits and compensation, performance management, best practices, etc.
Preferred Qualications:
PHR or SHRM designation preferred
Must be able to stand, sit, reach and move about the Hotel Operations Center.
Must be able to communicate one-on-one or in a group setting.
Able to lift 25 lbs (ex. box of paper).
Able to file and retrieve information from the file cabinets with or without reasonable accommodation. File cabinets are 4 feet in height. Must be able to move drawer(s) containing a maximum weight of 30 lbs. each.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
